All connections on GearLedger are encrypted, and authentication is handled through industry-standard protocols. Our database is protected with row-level security, meaning only you can access your own information and no one else's. We never share or sell your data.

At GearLedger we believe your data should always be yours. As such, we support a full range of export options across all our features whether it’s your inventory, rental history, or invoice history. Even if you no longer have an active subscription or if your free trial runs out, we still allow full read-only access to all your data.

Not at all! Signing up is totally free and no credit card information is required.

During your 30 day free trial you have full access to all the features of GearLedger. When your trial ends, all your data remains saved on the platform and you can still access all of it in read-only form. In order to continue creating new quotes, invoices, or updating your inventory list, you would have to subscribe to either our monthly or annual plan.

Yes! All subscriptions are handled through stripe and you can choose to cancel an active subscription at any time. When that happens, your subscription will remain active for the remaining period you’d already paid for and not renew.

GearLedger features a bulk import feature in the inventory list and you can download the free excel / .csv template to migrate your information as you’d see fit.

Yes! GearLedger was built with mobile accessibility in mind so that you can quote or invoice your clients whether on-set or at home.

There’s an option under every quote or invoice to enable the Sales Tax calculator within that quote/invoice. Simply click on the checkbox, enter your respective sales tax percentage and the sales tax will be calculated and added to the total for you.

GearLedger handles quoting, invoicing, and tracking ROI but it is not a full accounting software like Quickbooks nor does it have access to your banking information like Quickbooks can. For some, GearLedger is all they would need but for others, including myself, we would use GearLedger as a compliment to our other accounting tools.
